About BB. le Buff
Miss BB le Buff
Miss BB le Buff is one of Brisbane’s premier burlesque showgirls, with a passion for performing Burlesque, Hula Hoop, Circus and Sideshow acts. She draws her inspiration from vaudeville, the history of travelling circuses and her passion for animals; then infuses it with twisted parody. BB is the Headmistress at her School of Performance; Brisbane’s longest running Burlesque school, which is shimmying its way into its 6th year. She produces a bi-monthly show called “CaBBaret” – Brisbane’s longest running regular burlesque event - to showcase professional artistes from around the world and for her students flaunt their new skills in a graduation performance.
BB is also one half of The Fanny Bam Bams; winners of The Busties (Australia’s Burlesque Community Awards) “Best Duo” 2014. BB teams up with Magnolia Knife for a variety of classic tease, neo and comedy burlesque acts. Recent tours include The Australian Burlesque Festival, Perth International Burlesque Festival, Cabaret Burlesque Competition, Bay Cabaret and of course BB’s own show - CaBBaret.
BB has performed at many renowned festivals including The Australian Burlesque Festival, Perth International Burlesque Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival, Gorelesque, the Gangster’s Ball, Garter Belts and Gasoline and Island Vibes; as well as many varied events such as Dr Sketchy’s, music videos and media campaigns.
BB is devoted to the vintage lifestyle and is an avid collector of fashions and assorted antiques from all eras. She has featured as the face of the Brisbane Vintage Fashion Fair for many years in print ads and TV commercials; and loves her work as a Pin-Up model too.
